A little bit about me…
I am often told I am full of life, have sense of adventure, am easy to get along with and have a larger than life personality….
I guess I am all those things; I have a real belief that life is for living and I have to get in as much as possible. I have a bucket list - I have had one for about 10 years and until last year I had not done anything on my bucket list. Suddenly I realised what is the point of having a bucket list if I don’t do anything on it. So I decided I had better start working my way through it only to realise there is not enough time to do everything I would like to do but I will do a damn good job at cramming as much in as possible.
I have always lived for the experience; one of my biggest sayings is you will remember what you did but you wont remember what you wore when you did it. The emphasis is firmly on doing things rather than owning things. I love to try something new, it could be something new sexually, new food etc etc. – I am one of those people that when I see something weird and wonderful on the menu like fried scorpions I have to try them to see what they are like.
I have a naturally inquisitive nature which means if I am being shown round somewhere or told something that captures my interest, I have to ask loads of questions - I am every tour guides worst nightmare - always having a million and one questions. I have a thirst to learn something new everyday and I enjoy learning.
I am confident and chatty and always have a funny story to talk about. I love to travel which comes with my desire to experience different things. I have met some very interesting people whilst travelling again the weird and the wonderful but its is always fun meeting new and different people all of whom I just accept for who they are. This means I have had some very bizarre conversations with some people I have met along the way but that’s ok that is what life is all about.
I am one of those people that when I see something weird and wonderful on the menu like fried scorpions I have to try them to see what they are like.
I find I have a lot of friends and I get on with most people. It must be my easy going manner and desire to let others speak and take an interest in what they are saying enjoying the conversation believing it to be a two way thing not just all transmit.
I like nothing more than a challenge and will from time to time set myself challenges and goals. It could be anything - most recently it was navigating Singapore on the public transport instead of taking the easy option of the taxi – now where is the fun in the easy option! I found myself sat on a grass bank with all my luggage totally lost but that’s ok too, there’s always a solution to every problem, plus it’s a good experience. Yes I appreciate not everyone would want to be lost in a strange city after a 13 hour flight with bags of luggage but believe it or not I enjoyed the challenge of sorting it out.
I love having fun and a good time with my friends, generally a lot of attention is focused on me but I am not one that seeks attention and would much rather deflect that attention onto others around me. I am not self-focused or self-obsessed that I forget others are around me. I would much rather put my friends first and I tend to constantly make sure everyone is ok.
Above all I am a genuine likeable person who really does care and show an interest in everyone and everything around me. I love to live life to the full but also know when to slow down and relax too and that is important.
