Did You Know…? Dendrophilia
This is something I have not come across (if you know what I mean)
Have you ever wondered where the term “woody” comes from in reference to an erect penis? We’re starting to think it may have come from Dendrophiliacs!
Dendrophilia, aka Arborphilia means “love of trees”, a paraphilia where people are sexually attracted to/aroused by trees; this may involve sexual contact or adoration as phallic symbols or both.
This paraphilia gives a whole new meaning to calling someone a “tree hugger”! Dendrophiliacs can be men and women alike, but nature loving ladies often find it easier to branch out and get some wood from a tree while men have a harder time.
However their ingenuity isn’t something to shake a stick at, some men will find a hole or create a hole in a tree, to connect more fully with their splinter ridden lovers. This love play can even include a false vagina made from leaves. In some cases people even get arrested for public indecency to engage in the act!
Some dendrophiliacs feel so intensely about foliage they get both aroused and offended when being served a salad, which makes us wonder if they’ll consume leafy greens at all!
No one has figured out where this fetish came from, but some people believe that is comes from the ancient worship of trees, which were considered a symbol of fertility in long ago (and not-so-long-ago) times.
So if you’ve ever felt a stirring for Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, or the Ents from Lord of the Rings, you may be a Dendrophiliac! If so, go out and explore yourself. …We’re rooting for you!
