I thought you might like to hear about the Toga party I was invited to. It was great fun. Although it is true that, during the very early part of Roman history, the toga was indeed worn by both men and women alike, by the time of the second century B.C., the toga was reserved specifically for men. Respectable women instead wore the stola, which was a kind of dress. The only women who continued to wear togas after this point were ladies of the night.
Wearing absolutely nothing underneath that toga that the modern world would consider an undergarment, save for the occasional loincloth. Modern styles of undergarments were not invented until the very late 1800s, so essentially everyone you picture in history is 'going commando': Yep.My Friend Eileen loves everything to do with the Romans especially the centurions and the god of love Eros\/Cupid (there was a Greek God too Apollo) anyway she decided to have a toga party (a garment worn by the Romans) and no one was to wear anything underneath!!
