My friend (I do have them)  visited Germany Antwerp to be exact. I was invited but did not fancy travelling at the moment.  She stayed in a beautiful Olde worldly Hotel called 

The Pearl and Diamond hotel.

What a gem this hotel is!  The location is ideal, just a couple of blocks from the cathedral on a quiet, picturesque street, but the hotel itself is also incredibly charming.  The decor is beautiful, both in the lobby and in the rooms, the perfect combination of antique character and modern convenience.  The rooms are filled with beautiful yet functional antique furniture,while the bathrooms are updated, sleek, modern and very stylish.   Really, this is one of her favourite hotels ever.   I would love to go there!!
